Exercises of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region to improve reliability and combat theft of electricity were completed in the Tver region

7 April 2022

Since the beginning of March, in 9 municipalities of the Tver region, a reinforced grouping of forces and means of power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region consisting of 139 people and 49 vehicles has been operating. Employees of the energy company replaced, installed and straightened 60 power line poles, pulled and repaired about 15 km of 6-10 kV lines, cleared 38.1 hectares of routes in protection zones of overhead lines and cut down 175 trees threatening to fall.

Another task within the framework of the exercises was the fight against non-metered electricity consumption. During the month, the power engineers recorded 40 facts of non-metered energy consumption and 11 cases of using energy resources in the absence of an agreement with a grid organization, which in total amounted to 1.82 million non-metered kilowatt-hours.

Summing up the results, the head of the branch of Rosseti Centre - Tverenergo, Maxim Shitikov, emphasized: “The significance and importance of the exercises being conducted is obvious. This integrated approach has already shown results during recent mobilizations due to bad weather - the region’s energy system has become much more resistant to natural disasters. And revealing the facts of illegal use of electricity will make it possible to make a significant breakthrough in the fight against energy losses and use the saved funds to ensure reliable power supply to consumers.”
