25 March 2022

In the Astrakhan region, more than 30 thousand people in 55 settlements were left without electricity due to the hurricane, which caused enormous damage to the region’s power grid complex.

By decision of Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, 34 crews of power engineers consisting of 230 people and 76 vehicles quickly moved out of 8 branches of the Company to help colleagues.

In some areas, the power grids had to be constructed literally from scratch. The crews of the Companies installed 419 poles and 2,402 insulators, restored 89 km of wire and replaced 447 traverses. For the installation of temporary power supply, 20 standby sources with a total capacity of 2 MW were used.

“The power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region showed a high level of readiness for the prompt elimination of emergencies, even if not on their territory. Thank you for your determination, speed of reaction and selfless work!” Igor Makovskiy emphasized.
