General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region held a meeting of the Headquarters of the energy companies. The key issue of the meeting was the organization of emergency recovery work after a powerful cyclone and tornado phenomena that hit the regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts. The western districts of the Tver region suffered the most, where the disaster was accompanied by a tornado.
The personnel of the energy companies were mobilized in advance and immediately began to liquidate the consequences of the bad weather. Now in 9 regions of the service area of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region there is a high alert operation mode. In total, 907 crews of 4,173 people and 1,697 vehicles were involved in the emergency recovery work.
By the decision of the Headquarters of the energy companies, additional forces and assets from other branches were sent to the Tver region.
“The incredible strength of the hurricane caused serious destruction. The wind funnel literally demolished everything in its path. The power engineers at a high level met all the adverse events and reacted to their consequences without delay. The companies’ employees work in close contact with emergency services and regional authorities, provide support to municipalities. Measures to eliminate technological disruptions will be carried out continuously, until the complete restoration of power supply to residents,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region.
