Igor Makovskiy thanked employees of the companies for their work in Tver

2 July 2021

The meeting of the Headquarters under the leadership of General Director of the energy companies was held on the territory of the production base of the Kalininsky Distribution Zone. It was attended by Deputy Head of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Tver Region Alexander Pukhov and Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the region Alexander Tsvetkov.

After a powerful cyclone in early January, a reinforced grouping of forces and means of power engineers operated in the region. Employees from 17 branches of the Companies promptly responded to all weather anomalies and eliminated technological violations in the energy complex of the Tver region.
For a few months, the employees of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region cleared over 6,300 kilometres of 6-10 kV power lines, trimmed crowns and cut down trees that threaten to fall on the power lines, reinstalled wires and straighten poles.

The head of the energy companies paid special attention to the procedure for accepting the work performed. He noted that after the signing of the completion certificate, the chiefs of the Distribution Zones bear personal responsibility for the high-quality power supply of residents on a particular section of the overhead lines.

After the Headquarters, an award ceremony was held for employees who distinguished themselves in the course of emergency recovery work and measures to bring the grids of the Upper Volga Region into a standard state. Certificates of honour and gratitude from the Companies were awarded to 47 employees. These are electricians, foremen of crews, drivers of specialized vehicles, chiefs of sections from different regions.

Igor Makovskiy also checked the readiness for commissioning of Tverenergo’s Grid Control Centre. The new facility will replace 43 existing control rooms. This will improve the responsiveness to power outages.

“A colossal amount of work was carried out in the shortest possible time in all, without exception, districts of the Tver region. First of all, measures to improve reliability were implemented in those sections of power lines where repeated technological violations were recorded. This approach to repairing power lines and clearing routes has already shown results during the last mobilizations due to bad weather. The energy system of the region has become much more resistant to climatic anomalies,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region.
