Igor Makovskiy summed up the results of the mobilization of forces and means of the company during the New Year holidays

12 January 2021

Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, held the Headquarters, where the results of the duty of the Company’s operational forces and means during the holidays were summed up. The head of the energy companies noted that despite the introduction in 3 regions of the high alert mode and the special mode of operation in the Tver region, the situation in the power complexes of 20 regions of presence remained satisfactory.

Igor Makovskiy thanked the teams of the branches for well-coordinated and high-quality work in monitoring and responding to technological violations.

General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region paid special attention to eliminating the consequences of bad weather in the Tver region. Since 4 January, the region has been in the zone of a snow cyclone. The power engineers were mobilized from 2 January, and this made it possible to quickly respond to technological violations and begin to eliminate them. A total of 246 crews, 969 people and 311 vehicles, including from other regions, were involved in the restoration and repair work.

The head of the energy companies noted the professionalism and courage of the crews that were involved to support the Tver power engineers.

“The round-the-clock work in difficult meteorological conditions of the employees of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region can be called truly heroic. Ice and sticky snow placed extreme stress on the power lines. Together, hand in hand, our crews restored the operation of the power grids of the Tver region, sometimes making their way for several hours through metre-long snowdrifts to places of technological disturbances,” said Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
