Rosseti Centre’s crews eliminate technological violations in power grids of the Tver region, caused by bad weather, around the clock

An abnormal snow cyclone hit the territory of the region, which was accompanied by a temperature drop. Ice and sticky snow place extreme stress on power lines.

Power engineers prepared in advance for the impact of the bad weather. From 10:00 a.m. on 2 January, the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre operated on high alert, today a special operating mode was introduced.

90 crews, 346 people and 128 vehicles, including forces and equipment from neighbouring regions of the service area of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, were involved in emergency recovery work.

Among the most affected territories of the Tver region are the Kimrsky, Kalininsky, Kalyazinsky, Rzhevsky, Kashinsky and Ostashkovsky districts.

The meteorological and operational situation is constantly monitored, the power engineers are in close cooperation with the Government of the Tver Region, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and municipal authorities.
