9 December - Anti-Corruption Day

9 December 2020

On 9 December, at the initiative of the United Nations, the International Day against Corruption is celebrated, which symbolizes the consolidation of all the forces of the world community to counter one of the most dangerous viruses of our time. On this day in 2003, the UN Convention against Corruption was opened for signature, and today more than 170 countries have joined it.

As a UN member state, the Russian Federation adheres to the generally recognized principles and norms of modern international anti-corruption law.

The progressive economic development of Russia is impossible without combining the efforts of the state and business on the prevention of corruption, including in such an important industry as the electric power industry.

Being included in the list of systemic enterprises of strategic importance for the Russian economy, and realizing a high degree of responsibility to society, regulators and authorities, Rosseti’s group of companies implements the uniform requirements of international legal norms and Russian legislation in the field of prevention and combating corruption.

This activity is of a systemic nature and is enshrined in the Strategy for the Development of the Electric Grid Complex of the Russian Federation, according to which PJSC Rosseti is called upon to coordinate the activities of all grid organizations in the field of anti-corruption policy.

A unified approach to the implementation of the requirements of Article 13.3 of Federal Law No. 273-FZ of 25 December 2008 “On Combating Corruption” in the companies of the electric grid complex is determined by the Anti-Corruption Policy of PJSC Rosseti and SDCs of PJSC Rosseti.
