First Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer of Rosseti Andrey Mayorov and Deputy Director General for Digital Transformation Konstantin Mikhailik got acquainted with the new digital model of dispatching control of power complexes of the Central Federal District and Volga Federal District

21 October 2020

During his visit to the Main Analytical Centre in Moscow, the head of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy reported on the implementation of a new dispatch control model, the stages of commissioning of digital Grid Control Centres, which are based on the domestic CK-11 platform.

The functionality of the automated complex, the ability to control the operating modes of the grid, and the identification of sources of electricity losses were demonstrated. A typical automated workstation of a dispatcher was presented.

Since 2018, 11 digital Grid Control Centres and City Dispatch Centres have been opened in the service area of the companies, from where the grid complex of regions and large cities is managed online. Five more digital facilities are planned to be launched by the end of 2020. Models of power systems of all 20 regions of presence of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region were created, including the facilities of the transmission grid complex of Rosseti FGC UES.

In each control Centre, in addition to control points, there are classrooms, premises for the assembly of the headquarters, and rest rooms for employees. The workstation of the dispatcher is standardized: it is equipped with two computers with four monitors, which allow working in the CK-11, a geographic information system, an operating work management system, etc.

Summing up the results of the presentation, Andrey Mayorov noted that the program of digital transformation of power grids in the Central Federal District and the Volga Federal District as a whole is ahead of schedule. He instructed to study in detail the experience of implementing a new system of operational and technological management, as well as to develop a “road map” for the integration of information models of Rosseti and the System Operator to improve manageability and operating data exchange.
