Igor Makovskiy checked the functioning of the electric grid complex of the Kostroma region in the conditions of high availability

10 April 2020

General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, Igor Makovskiy, during a working trip to the region, checked the functioning of the electric grid complex in the conditions of a difficult epidemiological situation and the introduced high-availability operation mode, visited new facilities and discussed the implementation of the branch’s production program with Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov.

In particular, Igor Makovskiy visited the City Dispatch Centre of “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo”, which opened via a videoconference at the end of January this year. It is equipped with digital communication channels and information systems, due to which it is possible to control the operation of electric grids of 0.4-10 kV in the city of Kostroma and the Kostromsky district online: to receive and analyze telemetric information on operation of grid facilities, to coordinate the work of on-site and repair crews. This increased the productivity of the branch, the reliability of power supply to consumers, brought client services to a new level.

Another facility commissioned in 2019 is the Security Management Centre (SMC). The Centre allows real-time identification of not only any unauthorized influences on facilities of the electric grid complex of the branch, but also promptly interacts with law enforcement agencies and security personnel at “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo”.

In addition, Igor Makovskiy visited the Unified Grid Control Centre (UGCC) under construction. The creation of the central control centre will make it possible to build a modern automated system for the operational-technological and situational management of the region’s electric grid facilities.

“Undoubtedly, new facilities will provide a fundamentally new level of reliability of the functioning of the electric grid infrastructure of the Kostroma region, will have a positive effect on reducing electricity losses and improving the quality of electricity supply to consumers in the region,” Igor Makovskiy emphasized.

During a meeting with Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy discussed plans for the company’s repair work for 2020 in preparation for the autumn-winter period. Overhaul of 597 transformer substations and 595 kilometres of 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines will be carried out, in the framework of which about 1,200 poles are replaced. Equipment repair is planned at 38 power supply centres of 35-110 kV. 1,717 hectares of routes of overhead power lines will be cleared of wood and shrubby vegetation. A total of 168.9 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
