In 2020, Rosseti’s Group of Companies will repair more than 168,000 kilometres of overhead power lines of 0.4 kV and higher (in 2019 - 163,000 km), 38,900 distribution points and transformer substations (in 2019 - 38,800 pcs). The plans include clearing of more than 150,500 hectares of routes along power lines (in 2019 - 148,000 ha).
“We are preparing for the winter according to the plan. Regardless of external circumstances, the pace of work will be sustained. Repair programs and activities critical for the needs of the regions will be fully implemented and in strict accordance with the schedule,” stressed Pavel Livinskiy, the head of Rosseti.
The risk-oriented management model introduced in 2018 proved its effectiveness in the implementation of repair programs.
“We timely identify bottlenecks and carry out equipment repairs only where it is really needed. This approach allows us to significantly save resources,” said the head of the company.
Reliable operation through the autumn-winter period of 2020-2021 will provided by more than 10,000 mobile crews of over 49,000 people equipped with automobile and specialized vehicles - about 24,000 units.
Power engineers of Rosseti’s Group of Companies will also conduct scheduled maintenance of the existing 6,000 backup power supply sources (in 2019 - 5,900 pcs), a program will be implemented to additionally equip the territories with electricity backup sources, where the need for backup power supply to consumers has been identified.
In addition, the practice of intensive development of practical skills of personnel interaction in eliminating technological violations will continue. In 2020, more than 150 joint emergency response drills are planned, including with the participation of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, local authorities, and housing and communal service organizations.
