Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region provided a modular infection centre in Nizhny Novgorod with electricity in the shortest possible time

8 April 2020

The construction of an infection centre based on prefabricated structures has been underway in Nizhny Novgorod since the end of March at an accelerated pace. Such centres are being built by the Ministry of Defense and in several other regions of the Russian Federation in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation.

On behalf of Pavel Livinskiy, in the current unfavourable epidemiological situation, the power engineers pay special attention to infrastructure facilities, and, above all, to medical institutions. “Grid connection in the shortest possible time of such important and sought-after facilities is one of the priority tasks today. The work carried out at a high professional level and in the optimal time will make it possible to quickly commission such facilities, provide additional beds for patients who need them, and provide people with qualified medical care,” the head of Rosseti’s Group of Companies emphasized.

Realizing the instructions of Pavel Livinskiy, the power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region carried out the grid connection of power installations for power supply to the infection centre in Nizhny Novgorod in a short period of time. The maximum capacity of the connected power installations is 440 kW. This is enough to provide high-quality power supply to all diagnostic equipment. Within the framework of the concluded agreement on the grid connection Rosseti Centre and Volga Region implemented a whole range of measures for 10 days: technical documentation was approved, design decisions were made, work was done to transfer a 6 kV cable from the construction zone, and the medical facility was connected.

“We are doing everything possible to provide the necessary facilities for healthcare institutions in the shortest possible time, both existing and newly erected during the difficult epidemiological situation. We make every effort to meet the electricity needs and reliable power supply of each of the consumers,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
