Igor Makovskiy called on the branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region to reduce the connection time for new facilities to 10 days

24 March 2020

General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, Igor Makovskiy, during a weekly operational meeting, set the task for the branch’s management to reduce the time for grid connection of facilities ensuring the life of the population in the territory of operational responsibility.

Please, be reminded that on the initiative of Director General of Rosseti’s Group of Companies Pavel Livinskiy, the operational headquarters of Rosseti’s Group of Companies were created to organize the work of the country’s electric grid complex under high-availability conditions.

“For operational work, by the decision of the headquarters, all powers to remove grids and grid connection were transferred to the level of regions. Please, make decisions, start the connection work right on the day the application is received. Today I determined the regulatory period - no more than 10 days, regardless of capacity. If we don’t have enough strength, we will consolidate the forces of related branches,” Igor Makovskiy emphasized during a conference call with the management of the branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

Residential customers, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities can apply for grid connection through the Unified portal of electric grid services, the portal SvetlayaStrana.rf, personal account on the organization’s website. You can get a consultation by calling 8 (800) 50-50-115 or 13-50 (for residents of the regions of presence).

23 March, it became known that the Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution simplifying the process of connection to electric grids. In particular, the changes relate to applicants whose power installations vary from 15 to 150 kW. According to the document, the contract between the grid company and the applicant is now concluded by invoicing the consumer and then paying it.

Also, for a grid organization, the terms for concluding an agreement on the implementation of grid connection were reduced. The applicant, having paid the invoice within 5 days, becomes the recipient of the service, and the grid organization is obliged within 10 days, along with the contract and technical conditions, to provide instructions for the independent connection of the applicant. All this should reduce the connection time. The resolution comes into force on 1 July 2020.

In the current roadmap “Improving the availability of energy infrastructure”, approved by the order of the government of the Russian Federation back in 2012, the planned indicator for the timing of connecting consumers from 15 to 150 kW to electric grids is no more than 90 days.
