The year of 2020 marks the 5th anniversary of the All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving and Ecology #TogetherBrighter. The youth initiative, thanks to which the festival appeared, has become a large-scale social movement for caring for energy resources, work of power engineers and popularizing the use of modern energy-efficient technologies in everyday life and at work.
Particular attention is paid to popularizing the culture of specific cases at home or at work in the field of energy conservation and ecology, which depend on the citizen himself, on the personal contribution of everyone.
The 2020 festival will traditionally be held from August to October throughout the country. The Federal Organizing Committee #TogetherBrighter invites all who are interested in the topic to join the organization of events in their city, village, school, college, university or work.
From 1 September to 27 September 2020, in large cities, regional and municipal centres, the Festival will be held in the form of large-scale holidays for the whole family with participation of heads of government, companies, youth organizations, scientists and culture workers.
From August to October 2020, a social campaign #TogetherBrighter in support of the festival will take place: thematic lessons and a week of energy saving in educational institutions, regional and All-Russian creative and research competitions, topical quests, thematic shifts in regional and All-Russian children’s camps, the All-Russian campaign “Open door days at the fuel and energy companies #TogetherBrighter, the All-Russian campaign Youth industrial meeting “Dialog on an equal footing”, educational and charity campaigns and events, a public campaign to support the festival in social networks with hashtag #TogetherBrighter.
On 17 October, at the International Forum “Russian Energy Week 2020” in Moscow, the thematic Youth Day #TogetherBrighter will be held, in which events are planned with participation of heads of federal ministries, departments, schoolchildren and youth, representatives of other countries aimed at popularizing engineering education in the fuel and energy complex and development of initiatives of students of specialized universities, colleges and young specialists of the fuel and energy sector, finals of professional competitions and youth championships, All-Russian competitions of the festival #TogetherBrighter, meetings of youth with heads of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and HR services of companies. Events #TogetherBrighter are included in the program of the Russian BRICS Chairmanship in 2020 and will be held in October this year in Moscow and Saransk.
Traditionally, All-Russian flash mob contests and songs of the Festival will take place. At the level of cities and districts participating in the Festival, it is planned to conduct intellectual team tournaments - EnergyQuiz #TogetherBrighter.
In 2020, Russia celebrates the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO plan, in this regard, the festival will focus on the history of energy development after the adoption of the plan, as well as in the war years and the contribution of energy specialists to the country’s defense.
