The Rosseti Centre company contributes to improving the quality of street lighting in districts of the Kostroma region

The branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo” summed up the work on modernization, repair and maintenance of outdoor lighting systems in districts of the Kostroma region in 2019.

During this period, the enterprise concluded about 150 agreements with 70 municipalities of the region. All of them are 100% complete.

The largest scope of work was carried out in four municipal districts. In the settlement of Ostrovskoye of the Ostrovsky district, on the eve of the winter regional sports contest for prizes of the governor of the Kostroma region, which will be held here in February 2020, power engineers performed work on lighting the “Yunost” stadium, the central part of the settlement and the ski run. In another 4 rural settlements of the district, within the framework of the implementation of the state program of the Kostroma region “Formation of a modern urban environment for 2018-2022”, work was done on installation of outdoor lighting in children’s and sports grounds, at cultural, leisure and recreation centres.

In the Galichsky district, Kostromaenergo’s specialists replaced 230 lamps in lighting fixtures, replaced 100 existing lighting fixtures and installed 24 new LED ones.

In the Sharyinsky district, power engineers were repairing street lighting under an operational maintenance agreement; 1,390 meters of wire were replaced. In the city of Soligalich, they upgraded outdoor lighting networks, replacing obsolete lighting fixtures with new LED ones and laid 1,387 meters of self-supporting insulated wire. The work was carried out in the streets of Lermontov, Molodezhnaya, Novoselov, in the area of the cheese factory.

According to the head of the administration of the Soligalichsky district, Vladimir Suchilov, in total in Soligalich it is necessary to replace 1.5 kilometre of wires, 7 poles, 70 lamps and install 12 lighting fixtures. “Most of the work has already been completed. The city is practically lit. We hope for further assistance from the specialists of the Kostromaenergo branch,” he noted.

“The work on the modernization, repair and maintenance of street lighting systems, aimed at improving the comfort and safety of residents of the Kostroma region, will continue. Through the use of energy-efficient light sources (modern energy-saving lamps), local governments will be able to reduce the cost of paying for the electricity consumed by street lighting,” stressed Victoria Burdina, the head of the customer relations department of the Kostromaenergo branch.
