More than 60 thousand children and adolescents became participants in electrical safety events organized by Rosseti Centre in 2019

17 January 2020

Rosseti Centre summed up the work on prevention of children’s electrical injuries in 2019. During this period, power engineers held about 3 thousand thematic events, including jointly with regional and local authorities and relevant departments. Their participants were over 60 thousand children and adolescents. 1,200 events were organized during the summer holidays in children’s recreation and school camps.

One of the important components of preventive work is electrical safety classes, which took place throughout the year in all branches of the company (working in 11 subjects of the Central Federal District) in the form of thematic extracurricular hours in schools and training sessions for older preschool children in kindergartens. The employees of Rosseti Centre told the lesson participants about the basic rules of electrical safety in the street and at home, explained the meaning of warning signs to them, demonstrated the rules of first aid for victims of electric shock, and introduced them to electric grid facilities. To consolidate the material, they showed the children thematic videos, distributed specially made posters, booklets, and poetry books on electrical safety. The largest number of thematic lessons was organized by the branches of Kostromaenergo, Bryanskenergo, Kurskenergo and Lipetskenergo.

The power engineers also actively used original formats and new sites. Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Kostromaenergo” held the “Electrical Safety Week” in cultural institutions of the region during the autumn holidays, during which thematic cartoons were shown in cinemas, cultural centres, Palaces of Culture and libraries. In addition, the Kostroma power engineers became co-organizers of a quiz held in the region’s schools on life safety issues.

A similar event in the framework of the “Electrical Safety Week” was held by their Yaroslavl colleagues. And on the first day of the new school year, they organized the “Lesson on Wheels” for leavers of a kindergarten in the city of Rybinsk. An unusual lesson was held in the “thematic” trolleybus running the second year along streets of the second largest settlement in the Yaroslavl region, on the sides of which there is information about the rules for safe handling of electric current.

Employees of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo” in mid-November chose the “MaxFit” sports complex in Tver as the venue for a demonstration lesson. Its listeners were sports coaches and tutors of the “MaxFit” children’s health and fitness camp for a day’s stay, which works for children every school holiday. And in the Orel branch of the company, the participants in the classes were introduced to the rules of electrical safety by “artificial intelligence” - a Walley robot, which was personally assembled by Alexander Panfilov, an engineer for operation of automated systems for dispatch control.
