Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region during the New Year holidays provided reliable power supply to 20 regions of the country

Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region summed up the work during the New Year holidays. Thanks to high-quality preliminary preparation and high professionalism, during all this time, power engineers were able to provide reliable power supply to the regions of the Company’s activity (it operates in 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation).

Before the holidays, the technical condition of the equipment and emergency control equipment, the presence of an emergency stock of materials, the availability of backup sources of the power supply system were checked. Additional measures were taken to enhance fire safety, the fire status of industrial and domestic premises, auxiliary and household buildings and structures, mobile repair shops and crew vehicles was checked.

Throughout the holidays, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region organized round-the-clock duty of dispatch and technical services, operating and maintenance crews, duty officers of substations of branches and managers. In order to promptly eliminate technological violations, in the event of their occurrence, in the work of the energy systems of the regions where the companies operate, a communication scheme and a procedure for interaction with services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, territorial divisions of Rostekhnadzor, executive authorities and local self-government, operating companies of Rosseti’s Group, and other territorial power grid organizations were developed. The operational readiness of all communications and technological dispatch systems was checked.

If necessary, 2,943 crews consisting of 12,848 thousand people, 4,375 automotive and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contracting organizations, could be involved in the elimination of failures and emergency situations in the branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. They had at their disposal about 1,984 backup power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 61.1 MV, which could be used to temporarily supply power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.

Of the highly qualified workers who received additional training, 168 emergency recovery crews of increased mobility were formed, consisting of more than a thousand people and more than 300 pieces of equipment, ready at any time to go to liquidate emergencies in any region of Russia.
