The companies Rosseti Centre (IDGC of Centre, PJSC) and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region (IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, PJSC) summed up the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency program for the first nine months of 2019. The total effect of the program amounted to 50.8 million kWh with planned indicators of 42.2 million kWh.
“Energy efficiency and energy conservation are among the strategic directions of the priority technological development of Russia. We are also actively moving in this direction, using in our work the widest range of advanced organizational and technical solutions - and we get a good result. The prudent use of energy resources allows us not only to free up funds for solving production priorities, but ultimately to improve the overall environmental situation in all 20 regions of our operational responsibility,” stressed General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.
The largest savings - 33.8 million kWh - were received by the companies from organizational measures, including disconnecting transformers in low-load conditions at substations with two or more transformers, disconnecting transformers with seasonal load, and also balancing phase loads in distribution grids of 0.38 kV.
16.3 million kWh were saved thanks to technical measures: replacing wires with a larger cross section for overloaded power lines and replacing wires of taps of overhead lines in residential buildings with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW).
In addition, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region reduced energy consumption for household needs by 1.86 million kWh, including by replacing incandescent lamps with energy-saving LEDs. Since the beginning of the year, 12.8 thousand lighting fixtures and lamps have been replaced, the effect of this work was 1.4 kWh.
