General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy made a working trip to the Voronezh region, where he met with the labour collective of JSC Voronezh City Electric Grids (JSC VGES) and inspected the implementation of key projects on the territory of the Voronezh region.

During a meeting with the workforce of JSC Voronezh City Electric Grids (JSC VGES), which recently became part of Rosseti Centre’s structure, Igor Makovskiy introduced the new CEO Andrey Samoilov and spoke about the priorities for the coming period. The primary focus of the activity of VGES should be to ensure reliable power supply to the regional centre during the heating period. Speaking about the development prospects, the head of Rosseti Centre noted: “Our companies must complement each other. All the positive traditions that exist today in Voronezh City Electric Grids must be maintained and developed.”

Further, Igor Makovskiy examined the production base of VGES and got acquainted with the activities of services and units providing energy supply to the capital of the Black Soil Region. The head of the company studied with interest the operation of the software package implemented at the control centre of Voronezh City Electric Grids, noting the details of the drawing of the digital grid model. Bringing the operational-technological management of the city’s electric grids to the standards adopted by Rosseti Centre will allow us to implement the main principle of the company’s activity in the regional centre - high-quality and safe power supply to consumers of all categories. By the end of the year, it is planned to establish cooperation between the joint-stock company and the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” in order to increase the efficiency of production activities. As a result, a synergistic effect should be achieved from the application of the best practices and technological developments of both companies.

During the visit, Igor Makovskiy also inspected the pace of construction and installation work at the 110 kV “Sputnik” digital substation being built in the Comintern district of Voronezh, which is scheduled to be commissioned in 2020. At a meeting with technical experts of Voronezhenergo and heads of contracting organizations, Igor Makovskiy emphasized the importance of the facility being built:

“The use of high-tech equipment in the new substation in conjunction with information collection, processing and analysis systems based on modern digital data exchange protocols will allow specialists to respond to any changes in parameters in a timely manner, thereby ensuring complete observability and controllability of this power centre. I am sure that the “Sputnik” substation will become one of the reference facilities of the digitalization program for the electric grid complex due to the use of the latest technologies in the industry,” he stressed.
