As part of a working trip to the Udmurt Republic, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy met with the staff of the Votkinsky Distribution Zone of “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Udmurtenergo”.
One of the main topics of the working meeting was the process of consolidation of electric grid assets conducted by the company in the region. Igor Makovskiy once again drew the attention of the branch’s employees to the fact that the consolidation of grids, the reduction of the degree of fragmentation of territorial grid companies, are provided for by the Development Strategy for the electric grid complex, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region carry out this work systematically, within the framework of the corresponding target program. The introduction of common principles of operational-technological management, as well as common technical and operational policy requirements throughout the power grid vertical, will ensure the prompt execution of applications for connecting new facilities to grids, elimination of technological violations in a shorter time, and, as a result, further increase of the quality of power supply to consumers.
“The consolidation of the power grid facilities of Udmurtia in the global strategic sense is carried out in the interests of the region, the company and the end customer. For the republic, this means an additional replenishment of the budget with significant amounts of financial and tax revenues. For our company, this is another step towards improving operational efficiency and lowering costs. For consumers - improving the quality and reliability of energy supply,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
Please, be reminded that the branch “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Udmurtenergo” from 1 July 2019 took into the operational and technological management of the electric grid complex of the municipal unitary enterprise “Votkinsky City Electric Grids”. Thus, at the moment, almost 100% of the state-owned grid assets are accumulated on the balance sheet of the enterprise.
Also, during the working trip, Igor Makovskiy visited the Votkinsk Electrotechnical Plant. This enterprise manufactures switchgear and control gear and package transformer substations of medium voltage. As the head of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region explained, the companies systematically study enterprises working for the needs of the electric power industry - and this interest is not accidental.
“In their strategic development, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region rely on the most modern achievements of domestic industry. This applies to both equipment and technical solutions and R&D. We closely monitor the development of industrial enterprises, and we ourselves are the largest customers of research and development in the field of electrical engineering. Given the scale of our company, operating in 20 regions of the country, we are talking about a serious contribution to supporting the whole sector of the Russian economy,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.
