General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region* Igor Makovskiy held a working meeting with leaders of primary trade union organizations. The event discussed topical issues of the development of social partnership and regulation of labour relations, priority plans for personnel and social policy of the companies in the near future.

In his opening remarks, Igor Makovskiy spoke about the main production achievements of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region over the past year. In particular, the head of the companies focused on the successful launch of the first stage of the Digital Transformation Concept, in the framework of which a number of large and significant pilot projects have already been started. In addition, General Director noted the coordinated and successful work done by the teams of the Companies last week to restore power supply to consumers and eliminate emergencies in several regions.

Igor Makovskiy devoted a significant place in his speech to the measures that are being taken to ensure a decent level of social protection for workers. He emphasized that the management of the company makes every effort and focuses not only on maintaining, but also improving the existing working conditions of workers, increasing the real content of wages, creating conditions for increasing employees’ income through additional stimulating provisions. For the staff of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, in 2020, the realization of the rights of workers to voluntary medical insurance and non-state pension coverage will continue. Active work is underway to attract and stimulate young specialists in key specialties.

The head of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region told the union leaders about the maximum open leadership system that he has been building for the second year, when the companies’ employees have direct access to managers at any level.

“I try to build my work schedule in such a way that it’s not just to be in the regions as often as possible, but also during these trips to cover the maximum number of production units, but personally, face to face, discuss the most complex, pressing issues with our employees. Invaluable assistance in providing effective feedback is also given to us by trade unions, which are representatives of the interests of the labour collectives. We strive to interact with you on a continuous basis, both within the framework of such general meetings and in a routine manner, during field trips,” Igor Makovskiy emphasized.

Further, the meeting was held in a dialogue format. The head of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region answered questions from the trade union representatives. In particular, they touched on topics of assessing the quality and motivation of staff, combating corruption, improving the operational-technical management system, as well as new features of the VHI system. In addition, a number of proposals were made regarding the expansion of social partnership between the companies and the primary trade union organizations.

Igor Makovskiy made decisions on a number of issues and proposals in an expeditious manner, already during the meeting giving relevant instructions to his deputies and heads of specialized units.

The representatives of the trade union organizations, for their part, noted the effectiveness and relevance of holding events of this format in terms of building sustainable, stable and trusting relations between the parties to social partnership.
