About one and a half thousand students from 20 regions of the country became learners of the first stage of the information course on digital transformation of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region

Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region summed up the results of the first stage of the pilot project to inform university students of relevant areas about digital transformation activities being implemented by the two companies.

Within the framework of this project, power engineers organized an information course of nine lectures at universities on the topic of digital transformation of the electric grid complex, which is delivered by leading experts of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. Thanks to this, the students got a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the specifics of the functioning of digital technologies in the electric grid complex, to analyze in detail the main areas of digitalization and applied technologies, and to get an idea of ​​the management of processes and digital data in the electric power industry.

In addition, the course participants are introduced to the projects of the first stage of the digital transformation of Rosseti Centre and the Rosseti Centre and Volga Region: Digital Substation, Digital Distribution Zone, Unified Grid Control Centres for regions, Digital Radio Communication, Digital Electrician and others. And they are also told about the digital transformation projects planned for implementation in the next two stages.

The first lecture of the course took place simultaneously in 20 higher educational institutions of the country on 29 October of the current year. To date, the companies’ experts have already held more than a third of the total number of planned lectures (64 out of 180). Their participants were about one and a half thousand students.

Lectures will be held until the end of November. Their learners will also be able to take part in the competition organized by Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. To do this, they need to take photos from the lecture and post them on the pages of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region on Instagram with the hashtag #RossetiCentre_UchimTsifre. The photos will be evaluated by a commission led by Vitaly Akulichev, First Deputy General Director - Director for Development of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. Winners will receive prizes.
