Rosseti eliminated massive power outages in the Tver region

Specialists of Rosseti’s Group of Companies have fully restored the operation of the main grid in all districts of the Tver region that were affected by the consequences of the second blow of the bad weather on the territory of the Upper Volga Region over the past two days. Currently, the power engineers are completing work in the 0.4 kV grid according to individual applications of household consumers.

On the morning of 1 November, Andrey Mayorov, Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer of Rosseti’s Group, held a meeting of the Operational Headquarters in Tver, at which he heard reports from heads of production subdivisions on the results of emergency repairs carried out last night. Andrey Mayorov checked the results of the implementation of previously given orders aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of eliminating technological violations.

During the discussion of the operational situation in the region’s electric grid complex, the head of the Rosseti’s production unit noted that the measures taken, including the systematic buildup of forces and means involved in the restoration work, increase the efficiency of their distribution in accordance with the degree and nature of technological violations, the crews’ rotation schedule and movement optimization brought results. 

“Over the past day, we managed to make a breakthrough in the changes of the emergency recovery work. Thanks to the accelerated pace, we eliminated mass blackouts and restored electricity supply to consumers in the Tver region through the main grid. Difficult weather conditions persist in the region - wet snow is falling, temperature drops are observed from minus to plus values. We continue to work in a special mode and continuously monitor the operational situation,” emphasized Andrey Mayorov.

344 crews consisting of 1,417 people, over 400 automobile and specialized vehicles and 79 reserve sources of power supply with a total capacity of 6 MW were involved in the elimination of technological violations in the electric grid complex of the region.
