Andrey Mayorov monitored the progress of emergency recovery work in the Bologovsky district of the Tver region

31 October 2019

Andrey Mayorov, Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer of Rosseti’s Group of Companies, after a field meeting of the operational Headquarters held in the office of the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre, visited the Bologovsky district of the Tver region. During the visit, Chief Engineer of Rosseti conducted a check of restoration activities carried out on the territory of the Bologovsky Distribution Zone, where the most difficult operational situation was recorded.

Andrey Mayorov drove to the 10 kV line from the 110/10 kV “Aleshinka” substation near the village of Lykoshino, where, due to falling trees, wire breaks occurred in a total of 12 spans, and personally led the emergency recovery work.

On behalf of the head of Rosseti’s production unit, in order to accelerate the progress of work to restore power supply, the power engineers are increasing the grouping of forces and means in this municipality.

At present, restoration efforts are carried out by 3 crews of the Tver, 2 involved crews of the Orel and 2 Ryazan branches of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, with a total of 28 personnel. 4 specialized vehicles are involved in the work - a crane-boring machine, a multi-function crane machine and 2 aerial platforms. Also, in the near future, the arrival of 4 crews of Rosseti Moscow Region, consisting of 20 people, equipped with 4 aerial platforms, is expected.

At the end of the check of technical events, Andrey Mayorov held the second field meeting of the operational Headquarters in Bologoye, listening to reports of heads of production units of Tverenergo.

Rosseti’s Chief Engineer placed special control on the municipalities most affected by the second blow of the bad weather that hit the region on the night of 30 October.

Currently, strategically important directions that are within the special attention of Rosseti are the Maksatikhinsky, Bologovsky, Udomelsky, Vyshnevolotsky and Spirovsky districts of the region.

In accordance with the issued orders, the forces and equipment were relocated here, which allowed moving the load from the powered lines, reinforcing problem sections and accelerating the course of emergency recovery operations.

The work is being carried out by power engineers around the clock, despite the difficult weather conditions - wet snow, which worsens visibility, and ice, slowing down the redeployment of crews and special equipment. Despite this, Rosseti is working at a fast pace, including ahead of schedule, in order to prevent and minimize the consequences of technological violations.

All crews are provided with the necessary equipment, forces and means to complete the work; in total, more than 1,200 personnel and more than 400 specialized vehicles were involved.

As of the current moment, the power engineers have completely restored power supply in 18 municipalities.

Rosseti thanks the residents of the Tver region for understanding the complex emergency situation in the region and ask for patience. The work is being carried out around the clock and will be carried out until the restoration of power supply to the last consumer.

We draw attention to the fact that timely contacting the company’s hotline at 8-800-50-50-50-115 will help the power engineers identify de-energized sections of power supply schemes that are not under the direct control of Rosseti Centre, but belong to territorial grid companies and other network owners.
