Specialists of PJSC Rosseti continue to work on accelerated liquidation of the consequences of the second blow of the disaster that hit the Tver region. For the speedy completion of emergency recovery work, the energy company made operational reinforcements of the forces and means involved in them. 63 crews consisting of 247 people and 58 vehicles were additionally sent to help already working specialists.
According to the latest operational data, 13,157 residents remain in the disconnection zone. However, thanks to the clear, well-coordinated and dedicated work of Rosseti’s specialists, who, replacing each other, work around the clock, despite the hurricane wind, snow and rain, for the third day already, these indicators are rapidly decreasing. According to the plan, it is planned to completely restore power supply to consumers through the main grid by the end of this day.
Please, be reminded that on the night of 30 October, the Tver region was covered by a new powerful atmospheric front in the form of wet snow and a squally gusty wind. The situation was complicated by the transition of the temperature from plus to minus values, which provoked snow sticking to wires and their subsequent breaks. The power engineers of Rosseti, who had been working around the clock for two days before that, were ready to face the bad weather and immediately started emergency repairs. Rounds and inspections of power lines were made, damaged sections were identified and repairs were immediately started. The Headquarters of the electric grid complex continued to operate in a special mode, monitoring the meteorological situation.
At present, despite the dark night, poor visibility, difficult weather conditions and a significant number of technological disruptions in hard-to-reach wetlands, the power engineers of the company Rosseti continue to work at a fast pace. In total, about a thousand people, about 300 automobile and specialized vehicles and 79 reserve sources of power supply with a total capacity of 5955 MW were involved in the work. They will continue until the complete restoration of power supply to consumers.
The branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo” thanks the residents of the Tver region for understanding the difficult emergency situation in the region and asks for patience. We draw attention to the fact that timely contacting the company’s hotline at 8-800-50-50-50-115 will help the power engineers identify de-energized sections of power supply schemes that are not under the direct control of Rosseti Centre, but belong to territorial grid companies and other network owners.
