Power engineers of Rosseti complete the restoration of energy supply to consumers in the Tver region

29 October 2019

Power engineers of Rosseti’s Group are completing the restoration of energy supply to consumers in the Tver region.

Most of the damaged lines of the main grid, which directly affect the energy supply to consumers in the Tver region, were put into operation after damage caused by the severe storm that hit the Upper Volga Region from 27 to 28 October.

At the same time, the power engineers continue to repair parts of grids withdrawn from the regular power supply scheme.

From the evening of 27 October, as a result of storm events (squally wind with gusts of up to 25 m/s), technological violations occurred on power lines of various voltage classes in the Upper Volga Region. A partial blackout occurred in several districts of the Tver region.

The bad weather caused power outages in some municipal districts of the region. The most affected by the hurricane were the Selizharovsky, Ostashkovsky, Vyshnevolotsky, Rameshkovsky, Kashinsky, Kalyazinsky, Bezhetsky and Kimrsky districts.

From 11:40 pm on 27 October Tverenergo had a special operating mode: the restoration of power supply in the region was controlled by the operational headquarters under the leadership of Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti. According to his decision, additional forces and means of other branches of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region were transferred to accelerate the course of restoration work in the Tver region, and by the evening of the second day 10 crews of the branch “Rosseti Moscow Region” arrived in the region.

On the night of 28 October, the employees of Rosseti Centre restored the operation of the main power lines and supply centres of 110 kV in the Selizharovsky and Ostashkovsky districts.

The work was carried out by the power engineers around the clock and was complicated by difficult weather conditions - gusts of a squally wind, literally knocking down.

On the night of 29 October, an important Pishchalkino-Bezhetsk line was connected. On the afternoon of 29 October, strategically important directions were restored - Vesyegonsk, Lesnoye, Firovo, Bologoye.

As there is switching from standby to full-time circuits, local controlled blackouts are possible. This is due to objective technical reasons, as well as ensuring the safety of production on damaged sections of the power lines.

On the whole, the main grid of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo” is functioning stably; work is underway on individual requests in 0.4 kV grids, to which the power engineers respond promptly. Interruptions in power supply should be reported to the unified online portal of Rosseti’s Group at светлаястрана.рф and by calling the hotline at 8-800-50-50-115.

125 crews of the Tver branch, as well as 93 involved crews of subsidiaries of the Rosseti company, consisting of more than 600 personnel, were involved in the work to restore the electricity supply. Governor of the Tver Region Igor Rudenya thanked Pavel Livinskiy, who headed the operational Headquarters of the electric grid complex, for the professional and efficient work to restore the electricity supply to the Upper Volga Region.
