Governor Igor Rudenya on a helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations inspects territories where the power supply was interrupted on the night of 27-28 October due to adverse weather conditions. Governor is accompanied by Arsen Grigoryan, Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in the Tver Region, and Manvel Mazhonts, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo”.

In the inspection program there is the territory of the Vyshnevolotsky urban district, Bezhetsky district. In particular, Igor Rudenya will visit the Vyshnevolotskaya and Bezhetskaya central district hospitals, a residential building on Central Street in Vyshny Volochek and other places.

In the Tver region, the restoration of electricity supply to settlements continues. Currently, the power supply to 110 kV power centres of the Bezhetsky, Maksatikhinsky, Selizharovsky districts, Vyshnevolotsky and Ostashkovsky urban districts has been restored. Consumers are being reconnected.

On the morning of 28 October, the head of the region held a meeting of the commission for prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety in the Tver region.

“Today, in the focus of our attention are problems with power supply in a number of settlements in the region due to adverse weather conditions. The number one task is to quickly restore power supply. Hospitals, schools, kindergartens, social institutions fell into the interruption zone - they must be provided with backup power,” said Igor Rudenya.

Governor also instructed to ensure the restoration of buildings of social sector institutions damaged due to the bad weather.

Operational headquarters were created in the region, including Arsen Grigoryan, Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies for the Tver Region, Alexander Tsvetkov, Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Region, Manvel Mazhonts, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tverenergo”, and heads of regional ministries and departments.

At night, failures on the lines were actively eliminated in the Tver region; now work is ongoing. Specialists at Rosseti Centre, Opora LLC, and the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Tver Region are working in the field. In total, over 120 crews, 130 specialized vehicles, about 500 people are involved. To speedily restore energy supply to the region, additional forces and means of other Rosseti Centre’s branches were attracted - more than 90 crews.

Particular attention is paid to the restoration of energy supply in the territories most affected by the disaster - the Vyshnevolotsky urban district, Bezhetsky district and others. On the night of 28 October, the work of the main power lines and power supply centres with a capacity of 110 kV was restored in the Selizharovsky district and Ostashkovsky urban district.

The power engineers together with the staff of the regional unit of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, services of municipalities provide targeted assistance on requests received by the Crisis Management Centre of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Tver Region.
