23 October 2019

Rosseti’s Group of Companies this year will allocate about 1.7 billion rubles from non-tariff sources to increase the reliability of energy supply to residents of the Republic of Dagestan. A comprehensive program to repair power facilities is being implemented as part of the second stage of the large-scale All-Russian Exercises of power engineers.

The group’s specialists conducted a technical check of the republic’s electric grid facilities, as a result of which the power engineers developed a special program of measures for the modernization and reconstruction of regional energy facilities.

Director General of Rosseti, Pavel Livinskiy, emphasized that the energy company continued its positive industry practice in Dagestan with the second stage of the All-Russian Exercises of power engineers. Since the summer of this year, the power engineers from all over Russia have been again involved in repair and restoration activities at the republic’s facilities.

“Today, more than 860 people from 15 subsidiaries of Rosseti work at Dagestan’s power facilities, 257 pieces of equipment are involved. Until the end of the year, about 4.5 thousand kilometres of overhead lines of different voltage classes, 100 substations and 793 transformer substations will have to be repaired, almost 5 thousand poles will have to be replaced. According to experts, the large-scale work will improve the quality of energy supply to almost 3 million residents of Dagestan, reduce the number of technological violations by 16%, including in the autumn-winter period,” stressed Pavel Livinskiy.

Please, be reminded that in 2018 Rosseti held the large-scale All-Russian Exercises of power engineers in Dagestan, during which about 8.2 thousand poles were replaced, 21.2 thousand electricity meters were installed, 623 km of self-supporting insulated wire were pulled, 388 transformer substations were repaired. In connection with the numerous appeals of residents who saw dramatic changes during the exercises, additional scope of work was carried out in areas where their implementation was not originally planned.

Minister of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Chebotarev during a recent meeting on the development of the fuel and energy complex noted the positive effect of the measures and recommended that enterprises of other industries use the positive practice of Rosseti in solving production problems.
