Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region contributes to solving the problems of defrauded homebuyers

21 October 2019

Specialists of Rosseti Centre have completed work on connection to electric grids of a multi-storey residential building, the construction of which is being completed in the Agashkin Mountain micro-district in the city of Kostroma. The power engineers constructed about two kilometres of cable lines to supply power to the new building and replaced current transformers at the switchgear. The maximum capacity of the connected power installations of the applicant was about 500 kW.

The 304-apartment building under the letter “8” is being constructed according to the shared construction scheme and is included in the federal schedule of problematic facilities. In May 2015, its developer announced the suspension of work for an indefinite period due to underfunding. The administration of the Kostroma region quickly got connected to the solution of the issue. The regional authorities appealed to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation with a request to intervene in the situation and take additional measures to resume financing and complete the construction of the house.

After the bridge bank and the company, which undertook to complete the construction and provide apartments to the homebuyers, were identified, the construction of the house continued. Taking into account the full importance of the situation, the power engineers of the Kostroma branch of Rosseti Centre completed all work to ensure the power supply of the new building as soon as possible for such situations. It is expected that the facility will be commissioned before the end of 2019.

“The development of housing construction, providing citizens with affordable and comfortable housing are some of the key priorities of the state policy. We, as a socially responsible company, try to contribute to the solution of these critical issues - not only within the framework of complex large-scale projects, but also point-by-point, individually, depending on the complexity of the situation, as it was in this particular case,” emphasized Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
