Rosseti Centre took part in a joint emergency response training for power engineers of Russia and the Republic of Belarus

In the Vitebsk region on 14-16 August, a joint emergency training of the company “Rosseti” and the state production association “Belenergo” took place. The Russian side was represented by specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo”, the Belarusian side was represented by employees of "Vitebskenergo and Mogilevenergo.

The power engineers worked out the elimination of conditional mass blackouts of power grid facilities of distribution grids of the Vitebsk region caused by bad weather - gusty squalling wind, heavy rain and thunderstorm.

According to the training scenario, crews of Belenergo and the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” were urgently sent to the affected Dubrovensky district. The power engineers had to carry out emergency recovery work and quickly resume power supply to consumers. The goals set in the exercise were achieved.

Joint trainings of power engineers of the two countries are held regularly. So, in July, the training task of restoring energy supply in the Rudnyansky district, which suffered from bad weather, bordering Belarus in the Smolensk region, was worked out.
