Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region mobilized in connection with heavy rains and thunderstorms

On Friday, 28 June, weather conditions worsened in a number of subjects of the Central and Volga federal districts: heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, and wind up to 20 m/s were recorded. The bad weather also affected regions of the service area of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region*. Currently, both companies are working in the mode of maximum mobilization and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

High-alert mode was introduced in the branches of Rosseti Centre - Yarenergo, Tverenergo, Kostromaenergo, Orelenergo and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region - Nizhnovenergo and Vladimirenergo. The information exchange with territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities was organized. Operational and maintenance personnel was mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, devices, clothing, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, prepared to work around the clock in all conditions.

If necessary, the high-alert mode will be promptly introduced in other branches of the companies. Currently, in case of deterioration of the weather, a set of preventive measures is being implemented here. Continuous monitoring of meteorological conditions is being carried out, control over electric grid infrastructure facilities has been strengthened, and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional and local authorities has been provided.

A list was formed and the composition of mobile crews of branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region was prepared, ready, if necessary, to be promptly put forward to assist in emergency recovery operations outside their service areas. In total, 2,912 crews consisting of 12,829 people, 4,340 automotive and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contracting organizations can be involved in the elimination of technological violations in all branches of the power companies. The power engineers have at their disposal 1,959 backup power supply sources with a total installed capacity of 60.07 MW, which can be used to temporarily supply power.
