Today, on 27 June, the XI Summer Sports Games of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region have started at the “Salute” stadium in the city of Dolgoprudny. The event brought together more than 500 power engineering athletes from regions of Central Russia and the Volga region.
Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, congratulated participants on the beginning of the sports festival. He emphasized the special significance of the event for the team of many thousands of workers. “This is a large-scale, bright, spectacular event, which is the embodiment of one of the most important priorities of the company’s social policy - popularization among our large friendly team of physical education, sports, healthy lifestyle,” he stressed.
The participants the Sports Games were also supported by the chairman of the primary trade union organization of Rosseti Centre Viktor Ablezgov.
This year’s competition involves 16 teams that will compete for the title of the best in athletics, swimming, table tennis, chess, futsal and volleyball. The results of the Sports Games will be announced on 28 June.
