Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region to strengthen with students’ crews

Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region* (IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region) is preparing for the start of the sixth season of students’ energy crews. This year, 626 students representing more than 80 higher and secondary specialized educational institutions will work at energy facilities of the company.

In the list of universities and colleges, who joined the students’ movement, this season has replenishment. In order to implement the project to create a network of regional support secondary vocational schools, priority in the formation of crews was given to students of precisely such educational institutions. So, for the first time, senior students of the Volgorechensky Industrial Technical School and the Kostroma Energy Technical School named after F.V. Chizhov will work in production units of Rosseti Centre - Kostromaenergo. In the Tula branch of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, “recruits” from the Shchekino Polytechnic College and the Bolokhovsky Engineering College will take over the labour watch. And students of the Klintsy Industrial Pedagogical College will join the consolidated construction crew of Rosseti Centre - Bryanskenergo.

“Students’ crews are a unique forge of personnel for key sectors of the domestic economy, tested by time and hardened at the largest construction sites in the country. It is gratifying that this tradition has been successfully revived in the electric power industry. Today, the industry is faced with large-scale tasks; it needs young qualified, initiative specialists. And we are making every effort to help future power engineers not only acquire the practical skills necessary for work, but also strengthen themselves in the confidence that they have made the right life choices when they come to our profession,” stressed General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.

On the eve of the new students’ construction season, open doors days were held at a number of branches of the company. Power engineers told students about job prospects and benefits of working in the industry, as well as the large-scale tasks facing it, which are to be solved within the framework of the digital transformation. Also, during the career guidance activities, the guys got acquainted with the work of modern energy facilities and grid control centres, learned about the features and secrets of the profession.

A rich leisure program is waiting for students in the labour semester. It includes cultural, sporting and educational activities. In addition, the students will actively join in the work on the promotion of electrical safety and will take part in activities in support of the All-Russian Energy Saving Festival #TogetherBrighter.

*- From June 2019, all companies of the transmission and distribution grid complex in corporate and marketing communications, as well as on all corporate identity carriers will use the new name containing the Rosseti trademark and regional or functional binding.
