Governor Igor Rudenya and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy discussed the work of the power grid complex in the Tver region

On 31 May, in the Government of the Tver Region there was a meeting held between Governor Igor Rudenya and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy. The parties discussed the implementation of the company’s investment program in the Tver region.

Earlier, in the Report on activities of the Government in 2018, Governor Igor Rudenya stressed that in 2018 a new stage began in the development of the energy complex in the Tver region. The implementation of IDGC of Centre’s program to improve the reliability of power supply to consumers in the region started. The Tver region became the second in the Russian Federation, where PJSC ROSSETI conducted large-scale power engineering exercises. For 3 months, a three-year production program was carried out: more than 13 thousand hectares of protection zones were cleared and expanded, the reconstruction of 550 kilometres of power lines with replacement of poles and wires was completed.

As the head of IDGC of Centre Igor Makovskiy noted, the company is working at an accelerated pace to improve the reliability of the operation of the power grid complex in the Tver region. The power engineers intend to systematically develop the grid infrastructure of the region to ensure a consistently high level of quality and reliability of power supply.

This year, IDGC of Centre intends to continue work aimed at the development and technical re-equipment of electric grid infrastructure facilities, connection of customers to power grids. Digitalization of the electric grid complex will be mainly aimed at the implementation of modern smart metering devices with an investment volume of about 450 million rubles this year, which will reduce losses in the grids and, accordingly, decrease the company’s operating costs.
