28 May 2019

On 28 May, a working meeting of Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy was hosted in Moscow. The key topic of the event was discussion of the implementation of the roadmap of the agreement on cooperation between the government of the Voronezh region and IDGC of Centre in the development of the electric grid complex.

As the head of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy noted during the meeting, the Voronezh region is a strategically significant region, which has always been the focus of attention of the energy company. The most vivid confirmation of this is the positive changes initiated and consistently carried out by the Company in its power grid complex. “Thanks to careful balancing and implementation of the production programs in full and on time, we ensured the successful passage of the heating period of 2018-2019. Today, a lot of work is being done to develop and modernize the region’s power grid complex, including a number of activities within the framework of the implementation of the digital transformation concept. In the first place, all organizational, technical, and personnel decisions taken at the branch “Voronezhenergo” are subordinated to this logic, the purpose of which is to ensure the most effective implementation of all plans. We intend to make maximum efforts, helping the Voronezh region to continue to be an attractive territory for investments, confirming the status of one of the most dynamically developing regions of the country,” the head of the company emphasized.

Please, be reminded that the Agreement, signed in December 2018 by Alexander Gusev and Igor Makovskiy, is aimed at creating a favourable investment climate in the Voronezh region and determines the order of interaction between the parties in terms of creating conditions for the modernization of the electric grid infrastructure using digitalization technologies based on long-term tariff regulation. The validity of the document is four years. It implies, in particular, the construction and reconstruction in the Voronezh region during this period of 11 35-110 kV substations and 4 110 kV overhead lines to eliminate the risks of power supply to consumers of the Volensky and Pridonsky “power centres”, ensuring observability of 100% of transformer substations and automation of 100% of 6 and 10 kV overhead lines, equipping remote control at 100% of distribution points, upgrading and expanding the system of smart metering of electricity.

In addition, in accordance with the Agreement, the Voronezh region was included in the number of seven pilot regions, where by the end of 2019 the Unified Grid Control Centre (UGCC) will be created, equipped with digital communication channels and the most modern information systems, which will allow online monitoring of power grid facilities, analyze the parameters of power quality, coordinate the work of first responding mobile and repair crews. Taking into account the implementation of the Agreement, the amount of financing of the investment program of IDGC of Centre in the Voronezh region for 2019-2022 will increase to 11.7 billion rubles.
