IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region summed up the investment program for the first quarter of 2019. During this period, the company put into operation 1,004 MVA of capacity and 3300 kilometres of power lines. The funding for the program in January-March amounted to 4.76 billion rubles, including 150 million rubles allocated for digital transformation activities.
In the first quarter, work was carried out at a number of large and significant facilities of the Company. In the Belgorod region, the reconstruction of two power centres launched in 2018 - the 35 kV “Nikolskoye” substation in Belgorodsky district and the 110 kV “Promyshlennaya” substation in Stary Oskol was continued. The substation “Nikolskoye” provides electricity to a number of settlements and micro-districts of individual housing construction in Belgorodsky district, including socially significant and life support facilities. A number of large category-based consumers are powered by “Promyshlennaya”, including the Slavyanka confectionery factory, the Avida dairy plant and the pumping station of the Oskol water canal. At both power facilities it is planned to replace equipment with modern high-tech samples. Plus, one of the first projects in IDGC of Centre for Digital Substation projects will be implemented at “Nikolskoye”. The power facility will be equipped with modern software systems based on microprocessor element base using IEC 61850 standards integrated with devices of the automated dispatch control system. This will increase the observability of technological processes, provide remote diagnostics and monitoring of the technical condition, significantly reduce operating costs.
Also, among the significant projects that have already been launched by the energy company are the technical re-equipment and reconstruction of the 110 kV “Levoberezhnaya” substations in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the “Oka” substation in the Ryazan region and the “Kolchugino” substation in the Vladimir region. The work performed will contribute to improving the quality and reliability of electricity supply to industrial and agricultural enterprises, municipal and social facilities, and residential consumers.
“We strive to synchronize our investment programs with regional programs for the development of the electric grid complex as much as possible. This will allow to fully provide the regions with the necessary volume of capacity, create conditions for social and economic growth of the territories, further improve the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.
