IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region in 2019 to repair more than 50 thousand kilometres of overhead power lines

IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region is continuing the main activities of the repair program. They started at the end of the next autumn-winter period, when it becomes possible to decommission a significant part of the equipment in need of repair, and are completed by the end of September. Their main volume falls in the summer.

According to the plan, over the course of 2019, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will overhaul 12,140 thousand transformer substations, as well as overhaul 50,311 thousand kilometres of 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines, within which 40,841 thousand poles will be replaced. 28.4 thousand hectares of routes along 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines will be cleared of tree and bushy vegetation. 6.15 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

“The repair program is one of the most important stages in the preparation of the electric grid complex for the next heating period; therefore, our specialists approach the implementation of its activities with the highest degree of professionalism and responsibility. A large amount of work is to be implemented, however, the timely start of repair work gives us the opportunity to say with confidence that at the present moment all work is being carried out ahead of the schedule. We will make every effort to ensure the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers in 20 regions of the country during the winter months,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.

The largest number of 35-110 kV substations will be covered by repairs in the branches of Bryanskenergo (105 substations), Kirovenergo (84 substations), Vladimirenergo (72 substations), Belgorodenergo (56 substations), Smolenskenergo (53 substations), Nizhnovenergo (58 substations). The largest volume of overhaul of 0.4-110 kV overhead lines are planned in the branches of Nizhnovenergo (8.3 thousand km of overhead lines), Kirovenergo (5.9 thousand km of overhead lines), Belgorodenergo (2.2 thousand km of overhead lines), as well as Smolenskenergo and Bryanskenergo (1.9 thousand km of overhead lines in each of the branches).

Among the large and significant facilities where major repairs will be carried out are the 110 kV Staleleyteynaya and Aksinino substations in the Bryansk region, the Chemical and Khvorostyanka in the Lipetsk region, the Stary Oskol in the Belgorod region, the Kasharovo in Tver regio, the Poligrafmash and the Shipyard in the Yaroslavl region, the Diveevo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Undol and the Murom in the Vladimir region, and the Gremyachee in the Tula region.
