As Igor Makovskiy noted, in 2018 IDGC of Centre invested more than 700 million rubles into the regional electric grid complex. In preparation for the winter, about 2.3 thousand km of power lines and over 480 substations of various types were repaired.

“The power engineers of the Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre are ready to resolve issues of any complexity,” the head of the company stressed. “One of the key tasks for the near future for us is the fulfillment of the task set by the country’s leadership on the digital transformation of the electric grid complex. Large-scale work is planned in the Kursk region. In particular, in 2019 digitization of electric grids around the regional centre will begin there.

In addition, during the meeting, Acting Governor of the Kursk Region and General Director of IDGC of Centre agreed to create in 2019 in Kursk a single control centre for electric grids, which will monitor the operation of power grid facilities of the Kursk region and nearby regions. It is planned that these and other agreements will form the basis of the cooperation agreement that the parties plan to sign at the Investment Forum in Sochi in February 2019.

The meeting also discussed the issue of consolidation of electric grids in the Kursk region. And also - providing coverage of the street and road network of the regional centre - IDGC of Centre is ready to carry out this work. At present, as instructed by Roman Starovoyt, an audit of the organization of work on lighting the city of Kursk is being conducted. According to the plan, it will be completed by the end of January.

“We hope that thanks to effective cooperation with IDGC of Centre, we will be able to form a comfortable and safe urban environment in the regional centre,” the head of the region emphasized.
