Specialists of the security unit of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region revealed a fact of electricity theft by the chief of one of Distribution Zones of the branch “Nizhnovenergo”.
It was identified that the electricity metering unit mounted in a non-gasified house of the chief of the Distribution Zone, due to manipulations with the metering unit connection circuit by disconnecting the voltage phases, the meter did not take into account the amount of electricity consumed. In addition, the metering device was not sealed.
It should be noted that the house belonging to the unscrupulous leader is located in the area of operation of the Distribution Zone, the chief of which he was. Using his official position, he was able to systematically avoid checks of the electricity metering device, and in the route sheets of the metering units check, he personally wrote down the electric meter data that did not correspond to reality.
On the fact of the electricity theft by employees of the electric grid organization, an act of non-metered consumption was drawn up. After that, a statement was sent to the police to bring the chief of the Distribution Zone caught on the theft to responsibility in accordance with the current legislation.
The employment relationship with the energy leader, being a thief, was immediately terminated at the initiative of the employer.
