General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy made a two-day trip to the Bryansk region, during which he checked operation of the power grid complex and production units of the branch “Bryanskenergo”.
During the visit, the head of the company saw the 110 kV substation “Michurinskaya” and “Sovetskaya”. The first one is the feeding centre of a large residential complex of Bryansky District and such customers as BryanskElectro LLC and Megapolis LLC. As a result of the reconstruction carried out in 2016, the capacity of the power facility was increased, which made it possible to increase the reliability of power supply to residential, industrial and social facilities of Bryansky District, as well as to provide grid connection of new customers. The 110 kV substation “Sovetskaya” provides electric power to the city electric grid, the plant “Kremny”, the poultry farm “Snezhka”, and modern shopping centres in the city of Bryansk. In the course of the reconstruction, the total transformer capacity was significantly increased, a new substation building was constructed, 6 kV closed switchgear combined with a substation control house, modern SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers, disconnectors with remote control were installed, 110 kV outdoor switchgear was reconstructed. The modernization of the substation provided a technical capability for development of the infrastructure of the territory of the district “Old Airport” in Bryansk, where residential areas, shopping centres and social facilities grow rapidly.
Also, Igor Makovskiy inspected the work of Bryansky and Vygonichsky Distribution Zones. He paid special attention to the work of dispatchers, examined the repair and production bases of the Distribution Zones, assessed the availability of the emergency reserve. According to the results of the visit to Vygonichsky Distribution Zone, General Director instructed to equip all transformer substations with technical metering devices of automated process control systems during the first quarter of 2019, which will reduce the level of grid losses and increase the observability and controllability of the grid.
Then the head of the company got acquainted with the functioning of the Grid Control Centre of Bryanskenergo. Currently, the branch is reconstructing the control room, equipping it with a new system of collective display of information based on video projection cubes and modern dispatcher workplaces. Igor Makovskiy also inspected the Bryansk Customer Service Centre, where he discussed with employees of the Centre the specifics of how to perform customers’ requests for connection to Bryanskenergo’s grids.
At the end of the working visit to the Bryansk region, General Director held a working meeting with the management of Bryanskenergo, during which he heard reports on the main areas of work, outlined the main ways of development of the branch, including the implementation of advanced digital technologies.
