Heads of FGC UES and IDGC of Centre discussed cooperation in the regions of joint presence

During a working meeting, Chairman of the Management Board of FGC UES Andrey Murov and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy discussed measures to increase the efficiency of joint actions while ensuring reliable power supply to consumers and developing the grid complex in 20 regions of the Russian Federation.

It was about measures to prevent and eliminate emergencies, including the provision of personnel, reserve materials, equipment, etc., if necessary, expanding information exchange, coordinating efforts when interacting with authorities, conducting joint exercises and trainings. They discussed prospects for cooperation in the application of digital technologies, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for monitoring grid facilities, and the exchange of experience.

During the meeting, the procedure for reviewing requests from existing and new applicants for grid connection was detailed.
Both organizations are members of ROSSETI’s Group. In 2017, IDGC of Centre were transferred the powers of the sole executive body of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. There are 4 branches of FGC UES - MES Centre, Volga, Ural and North-West in the regions of joint presence of the companies.

Within the framework of ensuring reliable work, the companies have determined the order of interaction in the organization and implementation of operational and technological management. Between the regional divisions of the companies, 19 agreements were concluded for emergency recovery operations. Over the past three years, FGC UES participated in the elimination of failures at 13 facilities of the distribution complex of the regions of joint presence, providing personnel, specialized equipment, backup power sources. During this period, about 40 joint exercises and trainings were also conducted.

In 2016 - 2018, FGC UES supplied to the grid of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region almost 222 billion kWh of electricity.

By 2018, 103 grid connection agreements with a total capacity of 2.6 thousand MW were executed by the companies. Another 61 contracts for 1.37 thousand MW are under execution. Among the largest joint projects implemented are the grid connection of the Kirov CHPP-3 and Izhevsk CHPP-1, a group of enterprises of the Kaluga region, the Volga Electrometallurgical Plant. FGC UES completed work for the subsequent transmission of power through the distribution centre in the interests of individual facilities of Russian Railways in the region, the Voronezh CHPP-1, and the special economic zone “Eletsprom”.

Interaction is carried out in the reorganization of electrical installations during the construction of the 500 kV substation “Beloberezhskaya” with outgoing lines, the reconstruction of the 330 kV substations “Gubkin”, “Belgorod”, the 220 kV substations “Pravoberezhnaya”, “Rayonnaya”, “Vichuga”, and the 220 kV transmission line of the output of Novovoronezh NPP - 2, and others.
