26 October 2018

General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy reported to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov about the Company’s activities in the Volga Federal District.

The parties discussed the activities of IDGC of Centre and Volga region in the Volga Federal District. In particular, Igor Makovskiy introduced Igor Komarov to the company’s plans for the development of digital technologies in the regions of its presence. For five years, the volume of digitalization of the grid complex of the company in the Volga Federal District is planned to be increased by 37.7% in 2022. Digitalization and grid automation make it possible to reach a qualitatively new level of solving basic problems in the field of reliability, availability and efficiency of the electric grid infrastructure.

Igor Makovskiy also informed the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District about plans to conclude long-term regulatory agreements, on the basis of which in these regions a long-term tariff for electricity transmission will be set. Such an approach creates a serious basis for a more dynamic and deeper realization of the investment potential of the regions. Long-term tariffs will allow IDGC of Centre and Volga Region to significantly expand the planning horizons, in terms of creating electric grid infrastructure for significant investment projects in various economy sectors, as well as to provide additional resources for digitalization. The new approach creates prerequisites for a sustainable tariff policy, which will limit the financial burden on consumers.

Also, during the meeting, they discussed the company’s plans to consolidate the regional power grid in order to ensure high standards of quality and reliability of energy supply to consumers and ensure the energy security of the regions of the Russian Federation.
