IDGC of Centre over seven months repaired more than 3,000 transformer substations and about 10,000 kilometres of power lines

5 September 2018

IDGC of Centre summed up the results of the implementation of the repair program for seven months of 2018. The company performs a number of its key events ahead of schedule. 3,087 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV and 9,864.6 kilometres of overhead and cable power lines of 0.4-110 kV were repaired, which makes 105% to the plan cumulative. At substations of 35-110 kV, a total of 2,495 switching devices and 37 pieces of power transformers of 35-110 kV were overhauled. 7,951.7 hectares of ROWs of overhead lines were cleared (101.3% of the planned indicators cumulative).

The main activities of the repair program started after the end of the regular autumn-winter period, when it becomes possible to decommission equipment in need of repairs, and are completed by the end of September. Their main volume is in the summer. According to the plan, in 2018, 4,047 transformer substations and 14.5 thousand kilometres of overhead lines (Conductors) will be overhauled at IDGC of Centre. 11.3 thousand hectares of ROWs of overhead lines will be cleared of woody and shrubby vegetation.

The implementation of the repair program of IDGC of Centre will ensure the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers in 11 constituents of the Central Federal District, and will largely contribute to the smooth and stable operation of the company’s electric grid facilities in these regions during the period of the autumn-winter maximum of loads.
