Hotline of power engineering specialists:
More than 270 students of energy specialties of specialized higher and secondary specialized educational institutions completed the summer labour season at facilities of IDGC of Centre.
Traditionally students of 3-4 courses of relevant specialties of such higher educational institutions and colleges of the country were enrolled in students’ crews as: Branch of NRU MPEI in the city of Smolensk, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Kostroma State Agricultural Academy, Lipetsk State Technical University, Orel State Agrarian University named after N.V. Parakhin, etc. In the branches of the energy company, the future specialists worked for a month and a half.
Mentors familiarized the future specialists with the structure of the enterprise, told about the peculiarities of the work of the grid control centre. The guys were trained in the rules of labour protection in the operation of electrical installations for the 2nd group of electrical safety permits.
During the labour watch, the students were able to acquire skills in several areas of power engineering activities, primarily related to development and reconstruction of grid facilities, connection of new customers, and preparation of power equipment for upcoming winter loads. In addition, the guys participated in the work on application and updating of dispatching names, processing of design and working documentation, and taking reading of meters.
In addition to working days, the students participated in sports and creative cultural events, as well as took part in a large-scale action of IDGC of Centre for fair electricity consumption "NO Theft".
IDGC of Centre continues to actively cooperate with universities and colleges. Energy specialists are ready to continue to train the younger generation and help students get a clearer idea of the chosen profession.
