Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region mobilized in connection with coming bad weather

In the coming days in the regions of the Central Federal District under the influence of the cold atmospheric front and in connection with the arrival of the southern cyclone, rains, thunderstorms, hail and strong wind are expected. According to meteorological forecasts, the bad weather, in particular, will affect the Bryansk, Tver, Smolensk, Orel, Belgorod, Kursk, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Lipetsk and Voronezh regions, where IDGC of Centre operates, as well as the Kaluga and Tula regions - regions of responsibility of IDGC Centre and Volga Region. At the moment, both companies are working in the mode of ultimate mobilization and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division, in the area of ​​responsibility of which the bad weather is forecasted in the near future, a high availability operation mode has been introduced. An information exchange has been organized with territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities. First responding and repair personnel have been mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, adaptations, overalls, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, and prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions.

If necessary, the high availability operation mode will be promptly introduced in other branches. At present, in case of weather deterioration, a set of preventive measures is being implemented here. Continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation is carried out, control over facilities of the electric grid infrastructure has also been strengthened and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional and local authorities has been ensured.

A list has been drawn up and the composition of mobile crews of branches of IDGC of Centre of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region has been defined, which are ready to promptly move forward in order to assist in carrying out emergency and recovery operations beyond their service areas. In total, 2,866 crews consisting of more than 14 thousand people, 5,164 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors can be attracted to all branches of the company if necessary. They also have about 1,500 standby power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 55 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.
