Voronezhenergo's specialists placed on high alert in connection with bad weather

On 24 June, weather conditions deteriorated in several regions of Central Russia: a cyclone brought rain, thunder and strong wind. The cyclone invasion also affected the Voronezh region. At the moment, specialists of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division are working in the mode of ultimate mobilization and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

The Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre has introduced a high alert operation mode, involving mobilization of forces, means and special control over the operation of power facilities. An information exchange has been set up with territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities. First responding and repair personnel have been mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, adaptations, overalls, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions.

At present, the power engineers are taking a set of preventive measures aimed at avoiding negative consequences of the disaster. In the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre 42 first responding mobile crews consisting of 84 people and 42 specialized vehicles are ready for quick liquidation of possible technological violations, 8 mobile crews (48 people and 16 specialized vehicles) are also in reserve.

In total, to carry out emergency recovery operations in the event of emergencies, the branch may attract about 170 crews consisting of more than 900 people and more than 500 vehicles. To set up temporary electricity supply to consumers, in the event of emergency repairs, more than 100 standby power sources with a total capacity of 2.3 MW can be used.
