IDGC of Centre's students’ construction crews expand their ranks: 275 members to work at the company’s facilities this summer

21 June 2018

IDGC of Centre is completing the preparation for the fifth All-Russian working season of students’ energy crews of the group of companies "Rosseti", which will start in early July. This summer, more than 275 students from 32 higher and secondary special educational institutions will work at the company’s facilities as part of 29 students’ construction crews. This is more than a year ago, when IDCs of the Centre formed 15 crews, which included 208 members.

The largest number of crews - four - in the Tver and Orel branches of the company. The largest number of members for the term of the labour semester will be taken by Smolenskenergo: 51 future power engineers from students of the local branch of NRU MPEI and students of colleges will join the ranks of the company.

The members of the crews will be officially employed, provided with overalls and uniform. On the eve of the labour season, they will have to pass an exam for the second group of electrical safety, which is a prerequisite for admission to work. The young people will participate in the construction of new power lines, inspections and repairs of electrical equipment, check and take readings of meters, remove logging residues during clearing of ROWs and other work. In addition, it is planned to involve them in conducting electrical safety lessons and thematic route games in children’s health camps.

As in past years, the energy company has planned useful leisure time for the members and an extensive cultural program: tours to energy facilities and museums of regional energy systems, visits to memorable places and attractions, competitions and contests. Also, the students will become participants of events and socially significant actions held by the branches.

For example, Lipetskenergo’s students will take part in the "StopEnergyThief" bike ride, during which, together with other employees of the branch, they will identify unscrupulous consumers. In addition, the young people will try their hand at the intellectual game "What?Where? When? in energy", will play at the open championship of Lipetskenergo for beach volleyball and will attend an air show dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Lipetsk aviation.

Members of the crews of Tverenergo will become participants of the third tourist gathering and a mini-football tournament of the branch. Also, during the labour semester, together with power engineers, they will do clean-up events to restore memorials and mass graves of the Great Patriotic War.

In addition, all IDGC of Centre’s crews will take part in students’ creative contests of articles, photo and video works organized by the group of companies "Rosseti".
