Specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region are ready to provide reliable power supply to consumers of the Central Federal District and Volga Federal District in the period of increased fire danger

According to forecasts of the Russian Hydrometeorological Centre, in the coming days a high fire risk is expected in several regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts.

In the current situation, risks of forest and man-made fires and emergency situations at power facilities are increasing, therefore, specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region are taking all necessary measures to ensure reliable power supply to consumers.

For prompt liquidation of possible technological violations in branches of the companies, the duty of responsible executives, mobile and additional crews has been organized. Crews have been brought into increased readiness, their provision with equipment, tools, protective gear has been checked. Also, readiness for carrying out of work of equipment, specialized vehicles, machines and mechanisms, serviceability of communication facilities has been checked. Similar activities were conducted with repair crews.

Control over operation of equipment has been strengthened, frequency of its checks and inspections has been increased. Unscheduled briefings on work in conditions of high ambient temperatures have been conducted with operating staff. Control over the observance of the fire operation mode at power facilities has also been strengthened.

To ensure comprehensive operational control over the situation, effective interaction with heads of municipalities, regional offices of the EMERCOM of Russia, enterprises of backbone electric grids, contracting companies has been established.

If necessary, 2,866 crews consisting of more than 14 thousand people, 5,164 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors can be attracted to liquidate technological violations in both companies. They also have about 1,500 standby power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 55 MW, which can be used for temporary supply of power, primarily to socially important facilities in the regions.
