The Summer Sports Games of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region ended in Belgorod. For two days, 330 power engineers from 15 regions of the country fought for the title of the strongest in volleyball, mini-football, chess, table tennis and swimming. A total of 59 sets of awards were competed for.
The swimming competitions were held in the age categories of up to 35 and older than 35 years. Men swam 100 metres, women 50. Stanislav Gubar (Belgorodenergo) and Evgeniya Karlova (Voronezhenergo) became winners in the category under 35 years old, representatives of Vladimirenergo Alexander Glotov and Anna Kuntsevich took the first place in the category over 35 years old. The relay race of 4х50 m and the team swimming rating was won by the Belgorod power engineers.
The victory in the chess competitions was won by Udmurtenergo’s team consisting of Anna Bannikova and Arthur Arzamastsev. Anna Bannikova also became the best in the personal women classification. Oleg Aleshin from Ryazanenergo was the best among the men.
The gold of the table tennis competition in personal singles went to Maxim Plyasov (Belgorodenergo) and Svetlana Khudyakova (Udmurtenergo). In the doubles category the title of the best went to the athletes from Kalugaenergo Tamara Loseva and Gennady Yaschenko. The team of Belgorodenergo (Maxim Plyasov and Alina Alikhanyan) won in the team standing in tennis.
In one of the most popular sports - mini-football - the first place was taken by the team from Nizhnovenergo, which in the final beat Voronezhenergo with a score of 1:0. The third place is with players of Lipetskenergo, who with a similar score lost to their colleagues from Tambovenergo. Roman Shorygin from Ivenergo was named the best player of the football tournament.
In the volleyball championship the best was the team of Nizhnovenergo, which won the finals against Belgorodenergo’s players. The Belgorod power engineers has collected the prize of the best player in the competition - it was won by Dmitry Tashlanov. Udmurtenergo closed the top three leaders.
As a result, the team of Nizhnovenergo became the winner of the Sports Games in the team event. Belgorodenergo is at the second place. Ryazanenergo is the bronze medalist.
Awards were given to the winners and prize-winners of the Sports Games by Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Games, Deputy General Director for HR Management and Organizational Design Inna Gromova, Adviser to General Director Victor Ablezgov and Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division director Sergey Demidov.
Inna Gromova noted the high corporate spirit and strong uniting effect of such sports events:
"Every sports event has its own face, its flavour. This year, this is a large number of participants. On the courts there were previously unknown rivals, who knew nothing about the level of preparation of opponents, their strengths and weaknesses. This gave our event a new impetus and an additional competitive effect."
