IDGC of Centre implements the investment program of 2018 ahead of planned targets

7 June 2018

IDGC of Centre summed up the results of the investment program implementation for 4 months of 2018. During this period, the company commissioned 47 MVA of capacity, which is 8.5% higher than the planned value, and 614 kilometres of power lines, exceeding the plan by 4%.

The volume of financing the program in January-April amounted to 3.3 billion rubles. 1.58 billion rubles were allocated for technical re-equipment and reconstruction, 1.63 billion rubles for construction of new and expansion of existing facilities

The document provides for the construction and modernization of a number of large and significant power facilities in regions of IDGC of Centre’s service area (11 subjects of the Central Federal District). One such project was already completed in the spring in the Belgorod region: here the company carried out a comprehensive reconstruction of the 110/10 kV "Sheino" substation, which included increasing the capacity and modernizing all power grid equipment of the power facility. The "Sheino" reconstruction was connected with the need to provide power supply for two new large dairy farms of the milk company "Seversky Donets" (part of the large regional agricultural holding "Green Valley") with a total planned consumption of 2.4 MW. For this, the energy company also constructed 10 kilometres of power lines and installed two package transformer substations. In addition to the facilities of "Green Valley", the substation "Sheino" feeds 13 settlements of Korochansky district, social infrastructure and life support facilities, industrial and agricultural enterprises.

During the year, IDGC of Centre plans to reconstruct in the Belgorod region a number of large power facilities. Among them, the 110 kV substation "Promyshlennaya" in Stary Oskol and the 35/10 kV substation "Rogovatoye" in Starooskolsky district. Both facilities provide for complete modernization of the equipment. The substation "Promyshlennaya" feeds a number of large enterprises of Stary Oskol, including the confectionery factory "Slavyanka" (part of one of the largest Russian confectionery holdings "Slavyanka") and the dairy plant "Avida", which is one of the leaders in milk production in the region. Eight thousand consumers of Starooskolsky district, including the "Oskolsky Bacon" livestock complex (included in the "Promagro" agroholding, one of the largest pork producers in the Black Earth Region) are supplied from the "Rogovatoye" substation.

One of the most ambitious projects of IDGC of Centre’s investment program this year will be construction of the 110/10 kV "Sputnik" substation in the Voronezh region. A new closed-type power centre with 2x40 MVA transformers will be constructed in the northern part of Voronezh, where mass construction of multi-storey residential buildings with a developed social infrastructure is planned. "Sputnik" is included in the list of electric grid facilities recommended for commissioning (reconstruction, technical re-equipment) by the Scheme and the Program of long-term development of the electric power industry of the Voronezh region for 2018-2022. Until the end of 2018, it is planned to erect a substation building, completion of construction and commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of 2019.

Another facility of the investment program of IDGC of Centre - the 110/35/10 substation "Vyazma-1" in the Smolensk region, included in the program of development of the regional electric power industry. At the substation, which provides electricity to consumers in the eastern part of the region, including large industrial enterprises, work is underway to increase capacity and upgrade equipment. It will be completed in the third quarter of 2018. Reconstruction of "Vyazma-1", in addition to a general increase in the reliability of energy supply, will create conditions for connection to the grid of new customers.

In the Tambov region, IDGC of Centre plans to construct power lines, which, in particular, will feed facilities of the agro-industrial complex and educational sphere. In Zherdevsky, Tokarevsky, Sampursky and Znamensky districts, a 53-kilometre double-circuit overhead line (Conductor) of 35 kV will be constructed to connect 11 sites of the "Tambovsky Bacon" pig-breeding complex. In Nikiforovsky district the power company will construct a section of overhead lines with a length of 14 km to connect the complex for receiving, cleaning and drying of cereals and oilseeds of LLC "Brachrosagro", an agro-industrial enterprise, the investor of which is Rainer Brach, the owner of the German steel company "Reiner Brach GmbH". In the science city of Michurinsk 11 km of 10 kV lines will be constructed to connect the branch "Schools - Science and Technology Centre named after I.V. Michurin". By now, more than half of the work has already been carried out for all the projects mentioned.

In the Kursk region, the company will provide electricity for a new high-tech meat processing complex with an annual production capacity of 185 thousand tons, built in the settlement of Linets in Zheleznogorsky district by the company "AgroPromkomplektatsiya - Kursk". A 16-kilometre tap of the 35 kV overhead line Troitskaya-Voropaevo will be constructed for this purpose. "AgroPromkomplektatsiya - Kursk" (included in the GC "AgroPromkomplektatsiya") is one of the leading producers of pork in the region, having created here a full cluster focused on meat production, from own fields and elevators to the advanced feed mill and pig-breeding complexes.

Two significant 110 kV lines will be reconstructed in the Lipetsk region. The line "Lebedyan left/right" provides power supply to Lebedyansky, Dankovsky and Krasninsky districts, the line "Donskaya" feeds Zadonsky district. Both facilities will be upgraded using innovative equipment.

The implementation of IDGC of Centre’s investment program contributes to further improving the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers in 11 constituents of the Central Federal District, and contributes significantly to the social and economic development of these regions.
