«Rosseti» to create an Internet portal to provide direct communication with electricity consumers

25 May 2018

"Rosseti" Holding, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, presented the Internet portal "Light Country", which will help establish direct contact with electricity consumers for the group’s companies.

The presentation was opened by Director General of PJSC "Rosseti" Pavel Livinsky.

"Uninterrupted power supply is our main goal. To ensure this, an established channel of communication with consumers is needed. They should be able to communicate directly with the electric grid company of their region. That’s why we had an idea to create an Internet portal - a convenient form of communication," Pavel Livinsky noted.

The project was presented by Deputy General Director of the company Olga Sergeeva.

The new service is aimed at simplifying the interaction of the grid company with the consumer, who will be able to inform in the simplest way and in a free form about the power supply problem.

At the heart of the portal is the simplicity and convenience of sending information, as well as the speed of processing calls. The site layout is adapted for use on mobile devices and tablet computers, which allows to send a request from virtually anywhere.

Thanks to the new resource, Rosseti hopes not only to improve the quality of feedback from users of electricity, but also to obtain the most objective and timely information about any existing problems and technological violations directly from consumers.

Requests that can be sent to the grid company via the Internet or a special mobile application will be sent directly to the company’s specialists and immediately processed. Answers to not urgent requests will be given by specialists of Rosseti in 8 days, not 30, as it is now in accordance with the requirements of the law.

Also, within the framework of the "Light Country" portal, a separate service will be created to conduct a population survey where consumers will be able to assess the work of power engineers, including during elimination of consequences of massive power outages. Also, in the framework of the portal "Bright Country" a sub-section will be opened where it will be possible to send an electronic application form for grid connection.

The presentation was attended by Governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya and Governor of the Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov, in whose regions the "Light Country" portal will be tested.

Positively assessing the launch of the new service, Anatoly Artamonov noted that the issues of providing electricity for each region are top priority. "Qualitative power supply is required by modern production facilities, social institutions, work on implementing digital technologies," the governor noted. At the same time, he stressed that one of the main objectives of the project is to build civilized relations between suppliers and consumers of electricity. Expressing the hope that participation in the project will open new investment opportunities for the Kaluga region, Anatoly Artamonov expressed his readiness to comprehensively promote it.

"We are honoured to be a pilot region in a major all-Russian project "Light Country". For the Tver region, this is especially important, because consumers can directly report problems in grids, their wishes and suggestions for improving the quality and reliability of energy supply. We will develop our power engineering, Rosseti and IDGC of Centre are reliable partners," Igor Rudenya said.

Connecting regions to the new service will be carried out in stages. At the end of May preliminary tests of the "Messaging" service will begin, at the end of June - "Polls", from July the portal "Light Country" will be launched in the test mode in the Tver and Kaluga regions. The implementation of the project in all regions of Rosseti’s presence is expected from 1 January 2019.
